About the Journal
Ukrainian Religious Studies is the religious scholarly open access journal (bulletin). Our purpose is to highlight the topical issues of religious studies, in particular the philosophy and history of religion, the peculiarities of religious consciousness and the institutionalization of religious experience, modern religious processes and trends, the achievements of theological and religious scholarship of Ukraine and the world.
Our key priority is to ensure the academic study of the phenomenon of religion, its essence and structural elements, the variety of its organizational, institutional and functional forms, adequate interpretations of the events of religious history and contemporary multireligious life, prediction of its changes, basing on the principles of historicity, over-denominationalism and world-view pluralism.
By publishing articles on academic religious studies, we pay attention to both theoretical and practical problems of the existence of religion in the broad context of its functioning, especially history, philosophy, sociology, phenomenology, psychology and cultural studies of religion, problems of theology, etc. The journal is open to scholarly discussions for representatives of existing academic and theological religious-studies schools from different countries and in many languages, which are deepened in a wide range of issues of Ukrainian and world religious reality. Double translations of texts are welcomed for the purpose of effective introduction of Ukrainian religious studies into the world scientific space.
