Features of adaptation of modern orthodoxy to the modernization process in Ukraine

Abstract

In the context of the development of information society, we see changes in all components of social life. The author analyzes the extent of technology usage within specific religious expressions of Christian traditions and elaborates on consideration of information technologies used by the Orthodox Church. Taking as the example Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the content of its information activities and the way of adaptation to modernization processes are revealed. There is need to have expert discussions and amendments on the list of the reasons that contribute to the slow movement towards modernization of Orthodox worship.
